Simms introduces batch of peripherals

Simms International has added five new agencies is says will complement its core product range of Dell, Kingston and Motion Computing. Among the new partnerships are virtualisation giant VMware, under which Simms will offer VMware Fusion to the Apple market, and Elgato, which produces software for converting files to view on iPhones and iPads and offers TV tuners and home networking products. The partnerships also include Invisibleshield, which offers scratch-protection shields for mobile devices, mobile accessories vendor Just Mobile, and adapter and cable provider Kanex. Peripherals general manager Michelle Harrington says the company’s strategy is to adopt strong brands in each product segment, rather than having cross-over between the ranges it offers. She adds the products are well known to Simms locally as they are also offered across the Tasman, where Simms is an Apple distributor. The Invisibleshield products “marry well” with the Dell and Motion Computing laptops Simms distributes in New Zealand, says Harrington, but adds they work with any device including GPSs, Windows 7 and Android phones.
