Nokia beefs up ANZ team

Nokia has appointed Chris Carr as general manager of its Australian and New Zealand operations. He will begin in the role on 1 January, replacing Emile Baak who is returning to Europe after two years based at Nokia in Australia.

Carr is Nokia's former vice president of sales for the Southeast Asia and Pacific region. “I’m incredibly excited to be moving back to Australia. It has been a difficult decision to leave Singapore but it’s one that will not only benefit my family, but also allow me to re-establish my connections in Australia," says Carr.

In addition, Nokia has appointed Steven Lewis as head of sales for Nokia ANZ and Greg Clark becomes head of retail for ANZ. Lewis is also returning to Australia after leading Nokia’s marketing organisation in Middle East Africa, based in Dubai, while Clark moves across the Tasman from New Zealand where he was responsible for the Vodafone New Zealand account for Nokia.
