Compuware building local channel

Compuware’s newly-appointed ANZ channel manager has plans to build its partner base in New Zealand.

Only months after appointing Janne Halonen as the local country manager, Compuware appointed Sydney-based Susan Fine to the channel manager position, which has a specific focus on the Gomez division of the company. Compuware acquired web application company Gomez last October.

Fine is speaking to a number of potential resellers here. She says the company will use the same channel model it uses in the US, which has proved successful. Under the strategy, it has three types of partners: general resellers, service partners and referral partners.

“We are targeting some companies like content delivery networks, hosting companies, managed content providers and large digital agencies,” she says.

Halonen says the local partner and customer base is increasing.

The ANZ channel manager duties include building an ecosystem of partners that includes managed services and cloud providers. Fine will also look to collaborate with local resellers and referral partners in support of Gomez web load testing, web performance management, web cross-browser testing and web performance business analysis solutions.
