Datasouth has promoted its sales director Hayley Brian to the newly-created chief executive role.
Bryan previously co-founded Christchurch-based Insite Technology, which was later sold to Renaissance, and became Datasouth's sales manager in August.
She began her career as an electronics technician with the DSIR and spent time in the UK working for multinationals in the UK before starting Insite.
Bryan says Datasouth has an opportunity to capitlise on the shift to the cloud.
“It’s not just about reducing IT costs, which are typically a relatively small part of an organisation’s overall spend, but the ability to transform the productivity of staff by giving them better access to a greater range of smart tools. Most CFOs and CEOs I talk to are much more interested in a 20% productivity gain than only saving a few dollars on their computers.”
