Storage vendor EMC has promoted Adrian Iannessa as its global services director across ANZ. In this new role, Iannessa will be responsible for overseeing the global services teams, in particular the presales and professional services units. He will also execute strategic initiatives to will help grow the services business in the region. Iannessa has been with EMC since 1998 in various senior management roles covering the presales, delivery and technology arena, both locally and across Asia. He will be based in Melbourne and will report directly to EMC A/NZ president, David Webster, and Asia Pacific vice-president of global services, Peter Lacoste. “Having been with the company for 12 years, Adrian will bring a great deal of experience and knowledge to this new role,” Webster said in a statement. “I am confident Adrian will lead EMC’s global services business to its next important phase of growth in the ANZ market.” The latest promotion, comes on the back of EMC making a raft of new appointments to its backup and recovery systems division.
