Datastor adds Cisco for last piece of VCE puzzle

Datastor has become an official distributor of Cisco's data centre products and Unified Computing Server platform.

“The partnership creates a strong alliance in the VCE (the Virtual Computing Environment coalition from Vmware, Cisco and EMC) space, especially in the area of UCS," says Datastor CEO Dave Rosenberg. Datastor already distributes for EMC and VMware.

“We already have a lot of focus on this area of our business. Now we want our resellers to be able to better understand Cisco product so they can drive value out of the solutions that Cisco offer the market,” says Rosenberg.

Cisco regional manager Jennifer Rutherford says Datastor is uniquely positioned to provide its VCE and UCS offerings.

“Since expanding our solutions in the data centre and server market earlier this year, we have been successful at growing our share of the market and we are expanding our capacity to meet that growing demand,” says Rutherford.

Express Data and Ingram Micro also distribute Cisco locally.

Malwarebytes shoots the breeze with channel, prospects

A Kumeu, Auckland, winery was the venue for a Malwarebytes event for partner and prospect MSPs - with some straight shooting on the side. The half-day getaway, which featured an archery competition, lunch and wine-tasting aimed at bringing Malwarebytes' local New Zealand and top and prospective MSP partners together to celebrate recent local successes, and discuss the current state of malware in New Zealand. This was also a unique opportunity for local MSPs to learn about how they can get the most out of Malwarebytes' MSP program and offering, as more Kiwi businesses are targeted by malware.
