Renaissance named Jaynean Leaupepe general manager of channel sales.
Leaupepe steps in for Brett Hjorth who has left the business, according to Warwick Grey, the distributor’s chief marketing officer. The promotion went into effect at the end of December.
“We’re very happy with that appointment,” Grey says.
According to a Reseller News article from 2009, Leaupepe joined Renaissance as a business development manager in mid-2007. She held the same title at the company’s PC builder subsidiary Insite before being promoted to national reseller account manager last March.
By her own reconing, Leaupepe started her IT career at Toshiba in 1997 and subsequently took roles with several companies including Epson and Telecom before taking a business development manager position at Renaissance in mid-2007.
“They’re really open to you using your initiative and being creative in sales,” Leaupepe told Reseller News in that interview. “That’s why I have been there so long.”
