Samsung says its local customers will experience “little disruption” after the receivership of Next Electronic Servicing.
“The receivership announcement affects only Next Electronics-owned branches, it does not extend to Next agents,” Samsung said in a statement.
Samsung says it is contacting service agents to form a direct relationship with them so it can offer ongoing customer support. Its whitegoods are handled by Next Electronic agents.
“Service requirements in the Auckland area have not been affected by the receivership. Service will continue to be undertaken by the Samsung Customer Service Plaza, including that which would have previously been carried out by Next Electronics’ Hamilton branch,” the statement says.
Samsung says nationwide service for monitors, mobile phones and camera products are handled by its Customer Service Plaza, so are unaffected by the receivership. It says printers, PC and IT products are also unaffected.
Samsung has formed a new agreement with Visual Group to look after Samsung service work that would have previously been carried out at Next’s Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin branches, the statement says.
