Data security specialist Imperva has launched a new program dedicated to data security and compliance.
The PartnerSphere Technology Alliance is designed to enable managed security service providers (MSSP), hosting and cloud providers to deliver best-in-class data security for their cloud data centres. Over a dozen vendors have already achieved certification.
The program is the result of partnerships between Imperva and vendors in different categories, including Vulnerability Assessment, SIEM, Business Software, Platform, Application Delivery, Identity Management, and Masking and Encryption.
“Our partner ecosystem is growing rapidly as the demand for a data security strategy increases,” said Imperva VP of business development, Farzad Tari. “Our program recognises the reality of today’s IT security landscape by partnering with leading technology providers in a formal, cohesive fashion, creating a partner ecosystem to protect structured and unstructured data.”
According to Imperva’s VP of worldwide channels, Chris Cesio, the growing interest in cloud-based security services has helped Imperva’s service provider partners to “grow 2010 revenue 90 percent over the previous year”.
“Our certification program provides our small, medium and large enterprise customers with easy and reliable access to advanced data security expertise through our partners, and allows them to offload daily management functions so that they can focus on their core competencies,” said Cesio.
Hot on the wheels of the new program launch, Imperva has also announced two new partnerships with WhiteHat Security and Net Optics. Imperva’s Web Application Firewall Quick Start Program will now include one WhiteHat Sentinel vulnerability assessment. Additionally, through the new partnership with Net Optics, Imperva will provide a 10G solution to customers.
