McAfee, RSA beef-up cooperation

RSA and McAfee announced plans to further develop coordinated IT security and data event solutions through mutual participation in the companies’ partner programmes.

While RSA’s Archer eGRC platform already integrates with McAfee’s Vulnerability Manager, the companies now will enable eGRC — and RSA’s enVision platform — to work with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator.

The integration is meant help customers proactively identify and mitigate infrastructure vulnerability and security events, according to a statement released by both companies.

According to the statement, other cooperation plans include analysis of information gathered from respective platforms about security and compliance risks to develop countermeasures for customers, development of DLP best practices and collaboration on new governance, risk and compliance solutions.
