CAA adopts Datacraft's one.govt solution

The Civil Aviation Authority has adopted Datacraft’s one.govt solution and the result of the partnership has gone live this month.

One.govt is a suite of telecommunications deployed by Datacraft to meet the needs of government agencies. It replaces CAA’s existing WAN and telephony solution and includes internet, voice gateway and hosted IPT services based on Cisco UCM infrastructure, as well as a replacement for CAA’s LAN and wireless networks.

According to Arthur Devitt, CAA’s CIO, the existing system required a significant amount of time and money to maintain.

“The additional Voice Gateway and Hosted IPT services will give us an end-to-end service that is easy to manage, provides clear service accountability, and additional functionality while giving savings throughout the life of the contract,” he added.

The service contract includes support, monitoring, reporting and administration by Datacraft.

“We have been working with CAA for over 8 years now,” said Robin Hartendorp, managing director, Datacraft New Zealand. “The delivery of this service marks a major milestone for both CAA’s technology strategy and our own in growing our capability in providing Communications as a Service (CaaS). Datacraft says it has over 30 government and commercial clients using their Unified Communications.
