McCann steps up as Kaseya's new MD

Dermot McCann has taken up the role of managing director for Kaseya's Australia and New Zealand operations.

McCann is tasked with planning and executing the company's business expansion plans across the managed services and enterprise markets in the ANZ region.

Prior to joining Kaseya, McCann held a variety of roles with IBM Australia.

“Dermot brings highly commendable experience, knowledge and understanding of the Australian and New Zealand market into his new role, which Kaseya will benefit from as we look to grow our market share in this region," commented Kasey's senior vice president APAC, Martin Ashby.

"By leveraging our significant investment in the region, specifically the new Global Support Centre in Auckland, regional R&D and rapidly expanding sales, professional services and support teams, coupled with some incredibly innovative technology that supports the IT service management requirements of MSPs or large enterprise environments, Kaseya is extremely well positioned to aggressively support and enhance our existing client business and also expand our market share further in 2011 and beyond," added McCann.

McCann is originally from Ireland and moved to Australia in 1999, when he took on the role of CIO for Logicalis Australia, which was later acquired by IBM.
