Riverbed appoints APAC channel senior director

Steve Dixon has been appointed senior director for APAC channels for Riverbed Technology.

Dixon will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s channel programme and partner ecosystem are successfully managed.

He brings over 25 years of experience in the IT industry, having previously held positions with Case Communications (now part of IBM), Cabletron Systems Australia and Kinetica. He joined Riverbed in 2005, as regional director for the ANZ region.

“Since joining Riverbed, Steve has played a major role in establishing and driving channel strategy and relationships in the region,” says John Higgs, vice president of sales for APAC. “We’re looking forward to Steve strengthening working relationships with the channels across the Asia Pacific region to ensure the Riverbed brand becomes even more ingrained in the IT landscape.”

Ian Raper steps up as the new regional director for the ANZ region, replacing Dixon. Raper joined the company in 2008 as regional sales manager.
