Ingram Micro debuts Apple team

Ingram Micro has officially assembled its Apple distribution team.

The company secured an agreement last September to take Mac desktops, laptops and accessories to the market here, with senior business manager Kelly Eyerman leading the charge.

The company has been distributing Apple alongside incumbent Renaissance since the deal was settled. Eyerman was tasked with assembling her group.

“My team has had a great deal of experience, not just in the channel, but also, crucially, out in the market in retail, reseller and end-user land,” Eyerman says. “This experience equips them with a deep understanding of the needs of our reseller partners and the experience to be able to deliver to those needs efficiently and effectively. They’re also enthusiastic Apple users themselves.”

The company has appointed Leon De Suza as senior product manager. De Suza came to Ingram from Dick Smith in 2006, and worked in the distributor’s volume division with AV, digital imaging and other products.

Julie Hawkins has taken up the position of supply chain manager and product manager. Hawkins worked in the IT industry in her native UK before coming to New Zealand 10 years ago. She worked as a personal trainer until 2010, joining Ingram Micro in the IBM servers and storage group.

As well, Andrew Fergus was named as market development manager. He came to Ingram Micro from EdTech where he managed a portfolio of 60 educational accounts. Fergus is a qualified teacher with a bachelor of education degree and a graduation diploma in educational technology.
