Job Title: Solutions Architect

Background: Desktop engineer

Brendan Patterson has the right set of skills and attitude that impressed this year’s judges. “I bring an end user-centric perspective using IBM technology to deliver business outcomes through the nationwide network of Ingram Micro resellers,” Patterson says. “I work alongside our resellers on solution design and end-user requirements, and then draw on the wide range of IBM offerings to find the smartest, most robust and future-proof solutions to address real life business needs.”

Brendan has been a tech enthusiast since an early age. “I knew IT was my calling straight from high school. Starting out as a desktop engineer gave me the grounding in how networks work as well as the essential view on how users interact with their IT tools. I have never let go of the 'how do users use' view and constantly translate technical knowledge into workable and realistic end-user solutions delivered through Ingram Micro's resellers.
