Emerson Network Power has plans to double the size of its dedicated partner management team, as well as the number of certified specialist partners, over the next two years.
The company currently works with 21 specialist partners and its former IT manager, Daniel Sargent, was last month appointed national partner manager, following the expansion of the company’s channel programme in Australia and New Zealand.
According to Sargent, his new role will see him responsible for helping Emerson’s top-tier partners, primarily Network Solution Providers and Data Centre Solution Partners, with the expansion of their own businesses. This will be accomplished through additional training, maintenance, market and support resources provided to partners.
“As Emerson Network Power’s IT manager for the Australia/New Zealand operations I had to build a business case to justify any investment in new technology for our own business – the same challenge faced by our partners’ customers, many of whom are IT managers,” says Sargent.
“We provision our partners so that they can deliver the full Emerson Network Power value proposition,” he adds.
“For example, our regional tender teams can prepare tender documents on behalf of a specialist partner – which the partner can then customise for their own business. In effect our specialist partners become an extension of Emerson, and vice versa.
“Likewise, other Emerson services such as our datacentre audit service and datacentre showroom, are available as resources for our specialist partners to use for their own business development purposes.
“The critical infrastructure market is healthy across all of our served markets and we are seeing a return to stability and growth following the global financial crisis,” says Emerson Network Power ANZ managing director David Scott.
