Adobe says it grew business here last year and is expecting continued growth in 2011.
“It is a tough market but we are doing well. We are looking for significant growth again this year and have good opportunities for our resellers,” says Chris Gray, Adobe’s New Zealand sales director.
The company is in talks with potential new partners, though Gray says it is not a matter of increasing the number of resellers, but rather about finding the right partners. He adds that the company is doing “reasonable business with partners”, including those who are not part of Adobe’s partner programme.
Gray says the company currently consists of himself and one other Wellington-based staff member.
“We’re looking at potentially growing the team this year to help us look after the New Zealand channel, make sure partners understand our value proposition and that they get proper training.
“We grew our business quite a lot here last year. It is still a tough market, but we are offering our channel the ability to grow their business. This is an interesting year. We are absolutely expecting to grow and reseller partners will grow with us,” says Gray.
“Our partners appreciate the effort and money we put into the customer segment with events and regular communications. It drives leads back to them,” adds Adobe’s ANZ channel sales manager Craig McGregor. “We’ll see more of that in New Zealand this year, more face-to-face training and roadshows.”
The company has released its financial results for the first quarter ending on March 4, with a record global revenue of US$1.02 billion, compared to $858 million reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2010.
