WatchGuard and Mitel join forces

WatchGuard will use Mitel unified communications solutions with its next-generation firewall appliances for businesses, the company has announced.

“WatchGuard is pleased to be working with Mitel by offering its extensible threat management (XTM) solutions to the market,” says Tim Helming, WatchGuard’s director of product management. “As the first vendor to offer comprehensive SIP and H.323 proxies, WatchGuard is in a unique position to best protect today’s unified communications environments.”

“Providing best in class security for business communications is important,” adds Paul Blide, vice-president Mitel DataNet CommSource. “Working with firewall appliance vendors like WatchGuard is a logical choice because their systems offer our customers the highest degree of performance, flexibility, reliability and most importantly protection for their business.”
