Distributor says new solutions are a good complement to current enterprise offerings

Provider of security and network management solutions Arbor Networks has signed a distribution deal with Ingram Micro New Zealand to offer enterprise customers the vendor’s Pravail Availability Protection System (APS).

“We are excited to be working with Arbor Networks in New Zealand. Their solutions address an acute problem for enterprises — helping them to protect their critical networks, applications and services from denial of service attacks,” says Stuart Alexander, Ingram Micro’s general manager for the Solutions Group. According to Alexander, Arbor Networks’ Pravail will complement the distributor’s offers to other enterprise-focused vendors. “Arbor Networks is also an attractive vendor for our reseller partners, and offers a very comprehensive reseller support and incentive programme in New Zealand,” he adds.

Arbor says its Pravail APS delivers out-of-the-box, DDoS attack identification and mitigation capabilities to help enterprises overcome data centre security challenges.

“Arbor Networks DDoS mitigation solutions are pervasively deployed in global service provider networks. To reach the enterprise market, we required the reach and resources and relationships of a partner like Ingram Micro,” says Nick Race, Arbor Networks country manager for Australia and New Zealand.

“Ingram Micro is the market leader in Asia and we are excited about leveraging their vast resources with a very compelling product for datacentre operators at a time when network security threats are evolving and presenting acute challenges,” he adds.
