Tiaan Blaauw to lead channel growth for Auckland cloud-based e-mail security vendor

New Zealand email security SaaS/PaaS provider SMX has appointed Tiaan Blaauw as sales manager for New Zealand and Australia.

SMX CEO and co-founder Jesse Ball says in a statement that Tiaan Blaauw’s experience in sales, marketing, project management will help as it grows its business across the region.

“Tiaan has an unusual combination of technical expertise around and a track record of driving a sophisticated consultative sales model involving multiple partners and channels, “ Ball says.

The South Africa-born Blaauw came to New Zealand in 2004, working sales and marketing roles for several companies, most recently as senior account manager in the technology services division of HP’s New Zealand Enterprise Business.

“The New Zealand and Australia market holds a lot of opportunity for SMX," says Blaauw.

SMX currently has 200 resellers and is distributed by Exeed.
