UTM vendor Cyberoam and distributor SnapperNet are offering local SonicWall resellers a trade-up offer to the Cyberoam UTM system, following the recent takeover of SonicWall by Dell.
Customers who trade up to Cyberoam will receive an introductory technical training course free of charge as well as free UTM licences for the first year.
“We want to give SonicWall customers an opportunity to look at an alternative,” says SnapperNet director Richard Paul. “We’re very keen to talk to Sonicwall resellers about this upgrade offer and discuss the benefits of dealing with SnapperNet and Cyberoam.”
“Cyberoam actually has a whole host of features that can be used straight out of the box, without the need to purchase any licences,” Paul says. “But the system also offers a variety of more advanced features available to be purchased through yearly licences, and this is what we are offering the one year free subscription for.”
The package includes a number of features, including no per-user licenses or restrictions on user identity-based firewall, VPN, real-time blacklist, bandwidth management, application layer 7 managed and IM management and control. A number of optional licenced features are offered free of charge for a year, including content and application filtering, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, and intrusion prevention system.
“We do regular training for resellers, and we run the local Cyberoam partner programme,” says Paul. “The idea is to keep a local focus so that resellers don’t need to look overseas for support.”
Cyberoam has over 300 resellers in the ANZ region and is distributed in New Zealand exclusively through SnapperNet.
