Company looking for new data security and SharePoint resellers

Imperva is looking at ramping up its New Zealand operations by bringing on board new resellers with expertise in data security and SharePoint.

The vendor operates a channel-only structure in the ANZ region. Current New Zealand partners include Dimension Data, Eagle Technology and Katana Technologies. Imperva is distributed in New Zealand by M-Tech.

According to Stree Naidu, the company’s VP for Asia Pacific and Japan, the single-distributorship model has been working for Imperva here and the company is focusing on bringing new resellers on board. “Our growth would not have been possible without the channel,” he says. “We are in the process of establishing a strong presence in the NZ market.” According to Naidu, Imperva will be looking at signing on “six to eight new resellers maximum.”

The company is targeting specific verticals in New Zealand, in particular any organisations with regulated data: banking and finance, telecommunications, and government. “The maturity level of the information security business in New Zealand is quite impressive and quite untapped for us,” adds the VP.

Imperva has announced record growth in the Asia Pacific region and plans to continue development in the region. In its recently announced fourth quarter results, the total revenue growth expanded by 37 percent year-over-year and over 156 new customers were added during the fourth quarter alone.
