24/7 Distribution has picked up the Australasian franchise for post-paid telecommunications provider SimpleRoam.
Tony Wright, SimpleRoam’s vice president of global sales, says 24/7 Distribution will enable SimpleRoam to scale its operations by partnering with resellers in search of a solution to address their “painful” roaming costs, and customise its offerings to a range of vertical industries and business types.
SimpleRoam is a secure, easy-to-use service that allows organisations to provide their travelling workforce with data and voice roaming at significantly lower rates and at a predictable cost while keeping their Australian or New Zealand phone numbers.
The growth explosion in mobile and tablet devices has led to millions of dollars of 'bill shock' for users.
“SimpleRoam is about beating bill shock to businesses and government, which in turn is threatening productivity levels,” says Wright.
The company has relationships with more than 250 telecommunications carriers around the world, allowing users to pay the cost of a comparable local call when they are using the service in another country, rather than paying roaming tariffs.
24/7 Distribution, which was founded in Australia in 2005, distributes unified communication solutions. The company has developed a services-based model, allowing channel partners to leverage its skill sets and resources. It has offices in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
