New Zealand-owned email security and platform as a service provider SMX has appointed Faisal Khatib as partner account manager, the company announced. Khatib most recently worked as a business development manager for Connect New Zealand. According to a statement released by SMX, Khatib will be responsible for managing the SMX channel business here and in Australia. “This is a key role in a rapidly growing market space," says SMX's sales and marketing VP in the statement. "Over the past 12 months, 40 percent of our market growth has been attributed to the channel business across New Zealand and Australia." SMX says it has more than 200 resellers and three "market partners" across ANZ, and expects more growth in the coming months.
