Cisco launches Linksys partner programme

Home networking channel programme launches in ANZ region

Cisco has announced the ANZ launch of its Linksys Partner Rewards channel programme. The networking vendor says the programme has been designed to educate partners as well as keep them informed on the latest networking trends and reward them for selling Linksys products. The programme is now open for registration to e-tailers, resellers and other Linksys channel partners. “The increase of Internet-enabled gadgets in the home such as tablets, smart TVs and game consoles makes the wireless home router even more important in today’s connected home,” says Adrian Marafioti, general manager, Australia and New Zealand, Cisco Home Networking. “Together with our partners, we need to educate consumers about the importance of having a powerful router to get the best multimedia experience.”

The programme is divided into three levels, offering benefits tailored to each level. Each partner participating in the program starts with a one-star rating and can increase its rating to three-star by achieving e-learning goals and revenue targets. Benefits include access to partner promotions, Linksys Parner certification, marketing library access, tech support access, and increased revenue target rewards, among others.

At each quarter, Cisco will provide new e-learning modules in the Linksys Partner Rewards web portal about specific products or technologies in three knowledge levels. Partners in the two and three-star levels have to complete at least one module per quarter in order to maintain their level and reach their revenue target. In the near future, instructor-led learning sessions will be made available to partners through the Cisco WebEx online training platform.

The company says it also plans to let partners customise and order point-of-sale materials through an online application.
