Xero appoints Google executive

Former head of enterprise for Google joins Xero

Xero has appointed Stuart McLean to the newly created role of chief revenue officer, the company has announced.

McLean was formerly Google's Sydney-based head of enterprise for the ANZ region, driving cloud application business for products such as Google Apps. Prior to that, he managed a distributor for cloud ERP solution NetSuite and also spent a few years working for Oracle.

In this new role, he will be based in Wellington and oversee the global sales and marketing teams for Xero.

“Xero represents the next generation of SaaS companies with fantastic product, great people and huge market potential. It has the opportunity to expand dramatically in international markets. I’ve been watching Xero for some time and am thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Xero team at this stage in its growth,” says McLean.
