Westcon and Seagate part ways

Distributor says mutual agreement followed wider vendor-review

Westcon and hard drive and storage provider Seagate have ended their current distribution agreement, the distributor announced yesterday afternoon, effective March 31.

Westcon says the decision to make this shift is a reflection of where its business needs to focus, after conducting a portfolio-wide vendor review.

“The decision to part ways was a mutual agreement and I am confident that the outcome will be beneficial to both parties," says Weston managing director Dave Rosenberg. "The company has enjoyed working with Seagate and is ending its agreement after ten years of business, on good terms.”

All warranty from March 31 forward will be handled by Ingram Micro.
