Preston takes the reins at Symantec

Becomes national sales manager for the security vendor.

IT industry veteran and former CA country manager Stuart Preston has become national sales manager at Symantec. Preston today told Reseller News he was in his second week of his new role with the vendor.

Preston has spent the past year in a senior sales role with Oracle, and prior to that was at CA for six years.

In April 2008, CA changed his role from country manager to channel sales director. In the same month and year, former Symantec country manager Richard Prowse announced he was leaving the security company, and at the time was not replaced.
