Cisco's Hansen to lead ANZ partner marketing group

Vendor also makes eight new hires.

In an effort to support partners, Cisco NZ has hired eight new staff around the country in sectors such as virtualisation and telepresence. The vendor is also creating a commercial and partner marketing group within its ANZ business, led by marketing and operations manager Suzanne Hansen. She will continue to be based in Auckland.

Hansen says the restructure is part of Cisco's global investment in a partner-led go to market model, which will result in more funding, a deeper relationship between its distribution and marketing business and more tier one and two marketing. "They've put me in this role because of my experience with partners but also in marketing."

Hansen will lead a team of five staff, but says Cisco is recruiting for two more.

In Christchurch, Cisco has promoted Kevin Sullivan to the role of South Island territory business manager where he will focus on mid-markets segment and providing sales and support to partners. Sullivan has worked at the company for 15 years.

For the Wellington group, Kevin O’Connor joins the public sector team as an account manager. He will focus on health sector customers. O’Connor previously worked at TelstraClear, Gen-i and Datacom.

Charles Odlin was promoted to virtualisation product specialist. Odlin provides specialist expertise and resourcing for Cisco’s data centre server market.

In Auckland, Chris West has been appointed as system engineer collaboration architecture while Raig Kleinhans joins Cisco as a systems engineer with responsibility for the company’s secure borderless network architecture. Kleinham was previously managing director of IPlogic, a voice and data offering firm in Taranaki.

Matt Taylor has been recruited as service provider account manager to work with the Telecom New Zealand account team. In the telepresence division, Pete Middelplaats has been appointed telepresence video sales specialist and will lead technology group sales while Dominic Stevens has been appointed systems engineer for the telepresence group in Wellington.
