A10 Networks searches for Aussie partners

It recently added Southern Cross Computer Systems to its partner ranks

Application networking provider, A10 Networks, is on the hunt for more resellers in the Australian market.

It has been 10 months since the US-based company kicked off its Australian operation, appointing Bill Hayes, to lead the charge. Since then, it has built up its team to seven people and 22 partners.

On his list of things to achieve this year is adding more partners to its network and making them aware of the generous margins involved, Hayes said. It recently added Southern Cross Computer Systems to its partner ranks.

“Lee Chen, who is the owner of the company, built it with principals to be easy to do business with, have the best product and support,” Hayes said.

The vendor recently appointed DNA as its local distributor. It has a tiered partner program in place offering promotions and benefits involving deal registration and marketing funds. It also offers multi-year renewals to help partners lock in their customer and build more loyalty for them.

Even though A10 is new to the A/NZ market, it is the third largest application delivery controller provider globally and also provides IPv6 and IPv4 solutions.

He said it will be looking for the right niche of partners that fit and want to understand its offerings, and work together on how to actively promote them to the customer base.

“There are key regions and market segments that we want to grow and that’s where we want to find the right partners ” Hayes said. “Southern Cross is a good fit for a number of different regions and segments that its currently across.”

It recently launched a new line of application delivery controllers dubbed ‘Thunder’, offering more capacity in a smaller footprint. It also announced a new version of its Advanced Core Operating System, which runs on the Thunder devices and is designed to add several new security features, including DDoS protection.
