Cellnet distributes new retail-focused tech

Distributor aims to broaden its customer base and appeal following withdrawal from the IT markets

ASX-listed distributor, Cellnet (ASX: CLT), has expanded its retail-centric product line-up with the Energizer Energi To Go and Nova car kit.

According to Cellnet CEO, Stuart Smith, both products would appeal to Cellnet’s entire range of resellers.

“This is part of our strategy to get a broad and quality range of offerings of innovative products to our customers,” he said.

The Energizer Energi To Go is a suite of rechargeable battery packs aimed at providing portable power for a variety of devices.

“We have been in discussions with them for the past few weeks and the appointment was made two weeks ago,” Smith said. “We have two main pipes to our business – one is the flash memory side of the business, and the other is the retail side. This is perfectly suited to both sets of customers.”

Cellnet will also be the exclusive distributor for the Nova car kit in A/NZ. The Bluetooth-enabled hands-free kit is designed to fit with new in-car legislation introduced in Victoria and New Zealand.

Smith said his company had already begun marketing the product to its customers and would soon begin end-user advertising.
