Lenovo has unmasked a new range of products that have come equipped with futuristic technologies. The new range of merchandise comprises the Lenovo U330, Lenovo Y430, Lenovo Y330, Lenovo S9, Lenovo S10, Lenovo G230, Lenovo G430 and the Lenovo H series Desktop. Gesture recognition and Lenovo ReadyComm are the new-fangled features that the products are packed with. Besides, these products also include other features such as One-key Rescue and Veriface.
"Our new range of products are priced aggressively. It's meant for people who prefer products that are lightweight and have a longer battery life. It's also for those who prefer net browsing on the move," said Ramprasad L, Vice President, Transactional Consumer Sales, Lenovo India.
The company has also launched a new desktop called H 3000. "We are finding that desktops are catching up a little more than what it used to be earlier. We want to take advantage of this as it's a good market to tap. And, primarily, you will see that business have started coming out of the B class and C class towns," he said.
The company's objective is to ensure that they have a good footprint in at least 400-450 districts across the country. "We are looking at geographical spread, in terms of reaching out to as many end customers as possible. The channel is the medium by which we reach these people. It's a cumulative all-effort put together in that direction," he said.
With the launch of the new products, the vendor also has some schemes in store, both for the partners and its customers. "We are running special schemes for the channel to have some kind of upside during diwali, specifically for the month of October. We have about three schemes that are applicable for higher-end, entry-level and mainstream products. We may continue to have schemes in November and December and we may change the flavor as we go along. This festival season, we want to focus more on higher end and lifestyle products. The responses we have got so far to these schemes are quite encouraging," he said.
For Lenovo, a channel partner is the key to growth of their business. "We acknowledge our partners. We appreciate the effort that they have put in the Lenovo business. We hope that we will be able to grow our family of partners so that we can tap almost every nook corner of the country," said Ramprasad.
