HP looking for new regional channel boss

Adrian Koch departs after leading PSG operations since Compaq merger

HP is looking for a new head for its regional channels and PC business after senior vice-president of its Personal Systems Group (PSG), Adrian Koch, announced his retirement.

Koch joined HP in Switzerland in 1984 but has spent the last decade running its channels and PC operations across Asia-Pacific.

"Under the leadership of Adrian, the HP PSG business became the fastest growing region in the world after a successful business turn around following the HP/Compaq merger," an internal memo read.

"This was achieved through aggressive business leadership as well as strong market development expanding HP's presence in the larger geographies in the region. Most of this business growth was achieved through close working relationships with our channel partners..."

Koch officially leaves on July 25 and the search for a replacement is underway. HP's local PSG business is headed up by Tony Bill.
