Close to meeting target of six staff

The local business of Simms International has about 40 Dell authorised resellers either signed or in the process of being signed and is close to its initial target of recruiting six staff.

Along with last month’s appointment of former Ingram Micro and Lenovo market development manager Benjamin Kwan as business development manager, former VST account manager Dale Campbell has joined as a Dell account manager. Campbell spent 12 years at VST until 2009.

In addition, Heidi Legatos and Kelly Marsden have become Simms’ customer services and sales support representatives. Legatos previously worked for Visual Group and Rad9 Computer Services, while Marsden worked for thedeal.co.nz

Another salesperson is close to signing with Simms, says local managing director Paul Johnston, adding two or three more staff will join the team later this year.

As well as Dell, Simms is a local distributor for Motion Computing, Tucano PC bags and accessories, and Kingston memory products.
