SAP to appoint first master VAR

Will lead Extended Business programme

SAP is looking for its first local master value added reseller (VAR) to head up the Extended Business programme. As reported by Reseller News, the programme was introduced locally in February to further broaden SAP's channel.

It works by bringing together hardware vendors with integrators, resellers and independent software vendors.

Growth markets general manager Helen Masters says the company is committed to providing support for its partners and the programme is a formal structure that helps to provide this.

“Smaller organisations that have specific geographical coverage, niche industry vertical capability or solution specific expertise, will be able to partner with our local master VAR and offer their customers SAP solutions.”

Programme members can also participate in tailored enablement and demand generation programmes.
