Samsung secures new marketing head
Rachael Cotton-Bronte takes the helm
By Amanda Sachtleben, Auckland | Monday, 14 December 2009Former Google country manager Rachael Cotton-Bronte has become Samsung’s local head of marketing.
Cotton-Bronte spent less than a year at Google, departing at the end of 2008, and the search giant told Reseller News at the time that it would not be hiring to replace her.
Cotton-Bronte has previously held marketing and management roles at HP between 1999 and 2005, according to Linkedin.com.
A number of senior staff have left Samsung’s New Zealand business since late 2008. Former marketing manager Jean-Philippe Diel departed in September 2008, following by IT division sales manager Jeff Lau in March 2009.
Subsequently, senior sales and marketing manager for consumer electronics and IT, Francis File, left in July, while telco products sales and marketing head Peter Hall exited the business in August.
