Paul Muckleston steps up to Microsoft MD

Replaces Kevin Ackhurst

Microsoft director of marketing and operations, Paul Muckleston, will be appointed managing director on Thursday, August 2.

He replaces Kevin Ackhurst who is moving to Singapore to take up the position of vice-president Sales and Marketing for Asia Pacific.

Microsoft Asia Pacific vice president Emilio Umeoka says it is excited to have Muckelston lead New Zealand to its next phase of growth.

He joined Microsoft in 1996 as an account manager in the enterprise partner group.

In 2005, Muckleson was sent to Paris as director of strategy and business management for Central and Eastern Europe.

Two years later he moved to Munich as general manager for small and midmarket solutions and partners for Central and Eastern Europe.
