MED replacing networking equipment

Includes voice, video, data and mobile

By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Thursday, 04 February 2010

The Ministry of Economic Development is looking for a supplier of networking hardware as it replaces equipment. The contract will cover four years, with an optional extension of another two years.

Network equipment will be covered in an end to end offering including voice, video, data and mobile with security. Currently the Ministry has no end to end relationship in place as a number of different contracts and relationships exist. Suppliers are bidding to consolidate this into one relationship.

The successful supplier will become one of three major contract operators alongside Fujitsu and FMIT for systems development and infrastructure support.

The deadline for replies is Friday, February 19.
