Fourteen schools seek ICT cabling upgrade

Stage two of networking project

By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Tuesday, 13 October 2009

A number of schools in the North and South Island need ICT data cabling and the Ministry of Education is seeking contractors for this role.

The schools include Wanganui Girls’ College, Rangitoto College, Catlins Area School and Christchurch Boys’ High.

Contractors must be listed on the Ministry of Education website as having a current certified installer status. This status means the installers are certified by the manufacturer of the cabling products they use.

The Ministry prefers to use switch resellers who offer 3Com, D-link, Cisco and Allied Telesis switches.

The deadline for replies is Monday, October 19. More details are available on the Government Electronic Tenders website under ICCNZ reference number 27590.
