Datacraft tight-lipped on Integral/Axon deal rumour

Sources say possible acquisition deal could rank among biggest by value in local IT industry

By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Friday, 27 August 2010

Industry sources say Datacraft owner Dimension Data may be planning to acquire Integral/Axon, however Datacraft country manager Robin Hartendorp said he was unable to comment on whether any deals were pending.

One industry member said the acquisition deal under negotiation, and said it could be among the biggest by value in the local IT industry.

Another source had heard the deal was planned, and that it could be far in excess of the amount Integral paid for Axon. The value of that deal was not disclosed at the time.

A different industry member says Datacraft was in due diligence to buy Axon prior to the acquisition by Integral.

Reseller News has not yet been able to contact Integral executive chairman David Sutherland.
