Datacraft’s relationships with EMC, Cisco and VMware have led it to become the first Asia Pacific virtual computing environment (VCE) partner.

Datacraft's operations in New Zealand, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and Indonesia were made partners at the same time.

VCE is a coalition formed by the three vendors. It is designed to help companies with IT strategies based around private clouds using Vblock infrastructure packages. These are packages that combine virtualisation, networking, computing, storage and security.

EMC, Cisco and VMware selected Datacraft as systems integrator which means it can provide qualified presales staff, professional services and support capabilities for enterprise customers.

The company is a VMware enterprise partner, Cisco Unified Computing System partner and EMC Velocity partner.

Datacraft NZ managing director Robin Hartendorp says the company aims to capitalise on innovations such as the VCE-driven cloud technologies and build a data centre services business that drives growth and profitability.
