D-Link to hold certification courses

Aimed at network engineers

D-Link plans to get more partners networking with its DCNE-2010 certified network engineer course.

The certification is designed to provide IT professionals with the knowledge and skills to recommend and implement networking offerings.

“Customers want solutions, not just hardware,” says D-Link ANZ marketing director Maurice Famularo.

“That is why D-Link is committed to providing training to its channel partners. DCNE certification is also recognised by third-party training organisations such as TAFE NSW as a valuable qualification for IT professionals.”

D-Link’s DCNE-2010 certification program comprises of two stages the D-Link Network Professional (DNP); and Product Specialist (DPS).

DNP is based on a one day theory-only workshop focusing on specific products and their features. The theory covers networking technologies within switching, wireless, security and networking scenarios with potential problems and their solutions.

The DPS workshops are more technically detailed, comprising of three modules: switching, wireless and security.

Workshops will run in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch from March 23 to June 17.
