Civil Aviation Authority to replace LAN switches

Office relocation prompts upgrade

By Reseller News Staff, Auckland | Monday, 23 August 2010

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) is looking for a supplier to upgrade its local areal network (LAN) switches and wireless access points as it relocates to Wellington CBD in January next year.

The head office of the CAA is currently located across two buildings in Petone and its current switches are ageing. It is moving to be closer to aviation companies and government departments.

It runs 441 switch ports in Wellington. The supplier will need to provide edge switches of 100 MB or 1 GB.

The deadline for replies is Friday, September 3.
