Datacom has become a Cisco gold partner in the Cisco Resale Partner Programme, with the vendor's regional manager Jen Rutherford describing the integrator as an "outstanding example of the best our industry has to offer the country and the world, backed up by an international accreditation.”

Datacom general manager Nigel Everett says Cisco has helped his company to grow its expertise and customer base.

Cisco says certification requires partners to undertake training and qualifications for every Cisco advanced technology specialisation available. These four areas are: unified communications, routing and switching, security and wireless LANs.

Partners completing Gold certification demonstrate a strong partnership with Cisco and focus on the technology needs of customers at the highest level, says Cisco. Gold resellers must have a team of 16 "experts, professionals and support staff", the vendor says. They also integrate Cisco Lifecycle Services into their offerings and demonstrate a high level of customer satisfaction.

Datacom Engineering also offers a full range of services backed by a Cisco Collaborative Technical Services Agreement.

The certification level achievement brings greater support and economic incentives from Cisco, including access to products and services, technical support, productivity tools, online training, marketing resources, and sales promotions.
