Dataphone secures CommuniGate UC distributorship

Will initially target SMBs with Communigate Pro system

Unified communications specialist Dataphone has won sole local distribution rights to the CommuniGate Systems agency.

Based on the CommuniGate Pro platform, CommuniGate Pro integrates fixed and mobile telephony, IP Centrex and hosted PABX, along with email, instant messaging, voicemail, file sharing and Web 2.0 applications. It also features the Pronto! Application with provides a single user address for email, IM, video calling, RSS feeds, audio, photo and video library, social networking links, VoIP client and file management.

“The scalability of the platform, from a single user license to the multimillion users cluster, will provide numerous options for New Zealand carriers, ISPs, portals as well as large corporates and small and medium size businesses,” says Alex Zivaljevic, executive director and chief technology officer at Dataphone.

CommuniGate Pro can be delivered on premise or as a hosted service, and as a mobile version.

Director Dragan Gasic says Dataphone is in discussions with carriers, ISPs and large enterprises but will focus initially on the SMB enterprise market in New Zealand.

CommuniGate Systems’ vice president of marketing, Scott Stonham, says it looks forward to bringing services such as HD voice to business users here.
