3D Networks make ANZ appointments

Includes new CEO, national sales director

Australian systems integrator 3D Networks has been busy recruiting new staff including CEO Rod Taylor.

Taylor comes to the company from Agilent Technologies where he ran Asia-Pacific operations. He says engaging with customers will be his primary focus at 3D Networks.

“I want to make sure we get this right so that we become an agnostic, trusted advisor. Too often, systems integrators lead with a product. We will still have strategic alignment to those people that manufacture those solutions such as Nortel, Cisco, Juniper, Mitel and Microsoft, but it is core that we spend a lot of time understanding, combining and tailoring solutions specific to any one customer need.”

Joining him is ANZ national sales director Eduardo Piriz. His objective for customers is to “think globally and act locally.”

He plans to target SMEs with fewer than 500 staff in markets including healthcare, hospitality and education.

“Our customers are very loyal to us in this space and we intend to focus on fostering the relationships and delivering value to our install-base.” Piriz spent the last year with NCR.

Kathryn Power has been appointed strategic solutions partner manager and will be developing relationships with vendors including Nortel, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft and Mitel. She previously worked at Unisys Australia for five years.

Reporting to her is national professional service director, Andrew Park. He will be looking after the business solutions consulting division. Park was previously at Software AG Australia.
