NZ first as Soltius seals AWS SAP competency

Consulting firm only one of two companies recognised for AWS SAP Competency in ANZ region.

Soltius has become the first New Zealand company to attain Amazon Web Services SAP Competency, and only the second across the trans-Tasman region to achieve this status.

According to the global cloud leader, AWS SAP Competency status is only awarded to SAP resellers that have demonstrated success in helping customers implement, migrate, and manage SAP applications on the AWS Cloud.

Soltius, which last year partnered with AWS to launch a dedicated New Zealand SAP Cloud practice, said that in addition to the new competency status, it is now also a full AWS reseller partner.

“As an AWS reseller partner, we are able to provide New Zealand businesses with a wide range of additional AWS benefits,” Soltius CEO, Nick Mulcahy, said.

“As an AWS Advanced partner and reseller we can deliver significant cost benefits to our customers, including a billing console, provide them with greater visibility of their AWS services and offer architectural advice to maximise their efficient use of the cloud.

“This is not restricted to SAP users either – we can deliver these benefits to any New Zealand organisation that is looking to better leverage the AWS cloud to its full advantage.”

As one of the country’s leading IT consulting firm, the 100 per cent New Zealand owned business works with over 80 major organisations nationwide to provide SAP solutions, support and consulting.

In addition, the company has delivered more SAP ERP projects in New Zealand than any other SAP partner in the country.

“New Zealand businesses of all sizes are now running in the cloud to simplify infrastructure management, improve time-to-market, and lower costs,” Mulcahy added.

“AWS offers a reliable and secure infrastructure platform that lets businesses quickly deploy their solutions in the cloud.

“As the benefits of the cloud continue to grow and in many cases outperform on-premise solutions for some businesses, it makes sense for us to be out there leading from the front.”

Soltius was the first partner in Asia Pacific to be certified as an SAP Centre of Expertise for its support services and is the only SAP partner to achieve Gold status in New Zealand.
