Equinox IT has recruited Microsoft Azure consultant Aben Samuel to join the company's Azure practice in Auckland.

Departing failed cloud provider Atmospheric, Samuel takes up the role of Senior Solution Architect and will lead Azure and cloud adoption services for Equinox IT clients.

“Azure provides exceptional opportunities for organisations looking to modernise their IT platform and there is a great deal of interest and activity in the market around the platform,” Samuel said.

Samuel joins Equinox IT from Atmospheric and before that Intergen where he held Principal and Senior consulting roles focusing on Microsoft Azure and Sharepoint.

Equinox IT Auckland general manager, Warren Hughes, said the company is creating a Microsoft Azure practice as part of business' activities to grow and update the company's Auckland consulting services.

"Equinox IT is a Microsoft Gold Partner for the DevOps competency and we're quickly expanding our capability to help clients who increasingly also want help with Azure,” Hughes said.

“We're a smart choice for those looking to do market leading work on Azure.

“Aben has an exceptional consulting reputation for Azure and related Microsoft technologies. He is a key addition to the team and will make an enormous contribution to our clients.”
