40,000 new business users on board as Google honours top-performing Fronde

“This award is a great recognition for the Fronde team in Australia and New Zealand."

Fronde has received recognition for its expertise in delivering Google for Work solutions, picking up its first Partner of the Year award at last week’s Google Partner Conference in Las Vegas.

The New Zealand-based company has been working with Google since 2008 as a Premier Google for Work Partner in the Asia Pacific region, expanding the tech giant’s reach across Government and enterprise.

“This award is a great recognition for the Fronde team in Australia and New Zealand,” says Don McLean, Managing Director, Fronde Australia.

“It shows that Google acknowledges the solutions we offer as world class and the best in the Asia Pacific region. For our team members it is a proud moment and reward for all the hard work in serving our Google customers.

“We could not have achieved this milestone without our loyal customers and their faith in our ability to help them get the best out of Google Apps for Work every day - as well as design and deliver new technology solutions to ensure they continue to achieve their business goals.”

McLean says the Fronde team has deployed and trained over 40,000 business users on Google Apps for Work, with Google for Work continuing to be a key focus for the company on both sides of the Tasman.

“We'll keep doing what we do, and also look to use Google's new and innovative technology to create fit for purpose solutions that make our customers' world easier,” McLean adds.

“Google for Work is an important part of Fronde’s product offering and strategy, as cloud adoption rates in Australia and New Zealand continue to accelerate and hesitation to move to the business cloud are trumped by fears of being left behind.”

Educating from the epicentre - Why distributors are the pulse checkers of the channel

As the channel changes and industry voices deepen, the need for clarity and insight heightens. Market misconceptions talk of an “under pressure” distribution space, with competitors in that fateful “race for relevance” across New Zealand. Amidst the cliched assumptions however, distribution is once again showing its strength, as a force to be listened to, rather than questioned. Traditionally, the role was born out of a need for vendors and resellers to find one another, acting as a bridge between the testing lab and the marketplace. Yet despite new technologies and business approaches shaking the channel to its very core, distributors remain tied to the epicentre - providing the voice of reason amidst a seismic industry shift. In looking across both sides of the vendor and partner fences, the middle concept of the three-tier chain remains centrally placed to understand the metrics of two differing worlds, as the continual pulse checkers of the local channel. This exclusive Reseller News Roundtable, in association with Dicker Data and rhipe, examined the pivotal role of distribution in understanding the health of the channel, educating from the epicentre as the market transforms at a rapid rate.
