​Growth continues as Microsoft managed services provider opens new Auckland office

Key Microsoft specialist Intergen has moved its Auckland office to the Viaduct to be closer to key technology and business partners.

The new fit out in the Grant Thornton building on Fanshawe Street is designed to encourage communication and interaction between staff and visitors, providing the right physical environment as Intergen grows in Auckland.

According to Simon Bright, Chief Executive Officer, Intergen, the investment in new facilities is part of the company’s facilities upgrade programme that will include an office move in Wellington in December.

“Effective collaboration is essential to managing large scale, agile IT projects,” Bright adds.

“Our new Fanshawe Street base puts us at the heart of Auckland’s innovation hub in Wynyard Quarter and Viaduct Harbour, closer to clients and making it easier for our team to work with Microsoft and other partners.”

The move also comes less than two years since the acquisition by ASX-listed IT services company Empired Limited created the largest trans-Tasman Microsoft services provider.

As Auckland itself grows and the wider city undergoes major construction projects, Bright believes planning for staff productivity is even more important.

“We reviewed office layout, transport links and client meeting locations as well how to utilise innovations like Uber on a company-wide scale,” he adds.

Intergen operates from four offices in New Zealand and a fifth in Seattle.
